QUETTA: Opposition leaders walked out from Balochistan Assembly proceedings on Thursday to protest against alleged discrimination in distribution of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) schemes. “The elected representatives are being neglected while distributing schemes in provincial PSDP.

We will not accept this discriminatory attitude of government,” said Deputy Opposition Leader Zamruk Khan Achakzai. JUI-F MPA Abdul Rehman Khethran said, “PkMAP is providing funds to its local leader in my hometown Barkhan where he secured merely two votes in elections.” PkMAP is trying to use the funds to gain support. CM Abdul Malik Baloch assured of transparency in every scheme. “Days are gone when MPAs were never questioned about the funds had gone.” Assembly Speaker Jan Mohammed Jamali ruled that no one shall be allowed to put his name on development schemes.
