Healthcare: DHQ hospital to get trauma centre

The projected cost of the project is Rs110 million.

MUZAFFARGARH:
District Coordination Officer Firasat Iqbal on Monday laid the foundation stone of a trauma and dialysis centre at district headquarters hospital in Muzaffargarh. The projected cost of the project is Rs110 million. Member of Provincial Assembly Imran Qureshi said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was committed to provide modern healthcare facilities to the people of south Punjab. He said the 41-bed trauma centre at the district headquarters hospital would provide treatment facilities to patients in emergency situations. A 14-bed dialysis centre would provide treatment to renal failure patients, he said. Member of Provincial Assembly Imran Qureshi said Rs87.1 million would be spent on construction work. The remaining amount will be used to purchase modern equipment for dialysis centre, Qureshi said.
