Escape attempt foiled: Three policemen attacked in a hospital
The policemen were taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment where doctors later said their condition was stable.

Three police officials received bullet wounds after being shot at by accomplices of a suspect who they had brought to Mian Munshi Hospital for treatment on Monday night. Police said Zaman Ali, a prisoner at Camp Jail, had to visit the hospital for treatment. He was accompanied by Constables Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Atif and Zafar Iqbal. At the hospital, four men intercepted them, threw chilli powder in the constables’ eyes and shot at them. Police said the constables took cover behind a wall and shot back. The men fled, leaving behind Ali, who was shackled. The policemen were taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment where doctors later said their condition was stable.
