Healthcare: Fatima Jinnah hospital gets new OPD

DCO says Rs316 million had been sanctioned for kidney hospital.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Zahid Saleem Gondal said on Friday that citizens should come forward and play their role in developing the health sector. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a new out patient department (OPD) at the Fatima Jinnah Women’s Hospital, Multan. Gondal praised industrialist Khawaja Muhammad Masood for his assistance in setting up the OPD. He said the provincial government had released funds for several health projects in the city. The DCO said Rs316 million had been sanctioned for a kidney hospital. “Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would inaugurate several projects soon,” he said. Earlier, the Fatima Jinnah Women’s Hospital medical superintendent said 300 patients visited the OPD on average daily. He said he hoped the new OPD would improve healthcare facilities at the hospital.
