Reward: Bahria Town gifts plot to Afridi

Celebrated cricketer Shahid Afridi says acknowledgement of achievements improves confidence.

KARACHI: Celebrated cricketer Shahid Afridi said on Saturday that acknowledgement of achievements improves confidence. “I am humbled at receiving a residential plot from the Bahria Town for my performance in the Asia Cup,” he told media. Afridi was talking to newsmen after a ceremony held to mark the presenting of the documents of a 500 square yard plot by the Bahria Town. “I thank God for the honour and respect he has bestowed and the biggest asset for me is the love of my fans,” he said. The all-rounder who slammed an 18-ball fifty against Bangladesh said he will try to give his best performance for the nation. Bahria Town Executive Director Zain Malik said that his organisation will continue promoting sports talent in the country. “Bahria Town will set up a cricket academy to the hone the skills of young talent,” he said adding that he has asked Shahid Afridi to help in this project.
