ISLAMABAD:

Special Representative of Estonia to Pakistan Vaino Reinart on Monday expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s energy and information and communications technology (ICT) sectors, citing their great investment potential.

Pakistan is emerging as an investment ground for global energy sector companies while it remains a gateway to the Afghan market, he said, while speaking to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Vice-President Munawar Mughal and Coordination Chairman Faisal Saleem Rehman.

Reinart, visiting Pakistan for the first time, said that Estonia is a world leader in ICT and had expertise in the wind power sector.

“Pakistan is in a good position to exploit wind and solar energy which is in abundance here,” he added.

He said that trade volume between the two countries is not satisfactory, which could be increased by the governments and business communities of both countries.
