Addressing a press conference at his residence in Lahore, at the occasion of Bikhtiar Kasuri, younger brother of former Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, joining his party, Khan said that there were 8000 beneficiaries of the NRO who looted Rs1,060 billion from the national wealth and the present regime was protecting them.
He said that the PTI would distribute seed worth Rs300 millions among the farmers in flood affected areas. He stressed that the government must provide free of cost seed to farmers because if sowing season went away the country may face shortage of wheat. He said the government should give top priority to this serious matter.
To a query about possible alliance with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Khan said that Mian Nawaz Sharif was interested in only protecting his personal interests and he took every step for his party government in Punjab. He added that if his support is needed by Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q), he might consider it.
The PTI chief condemned the blast at the shrine of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganj Shakar at Pakpatan.
He also opposed the US defense aid and said that Pakistan would pay a high amount for this foreign aid. He also predicted that the present regime would not complete its tenure due to increase in target killings incidents and sky-rocketing prices of essential items.
