A 24-year-old pregnant woman, Zeenat Bibi, was killed inside her house in Gulshan-e-Maymar while her husband of seven months, Wazir Ali, was cleaning his gun, said SHO Mir Samad. Since Ali escaped after the shooting, the police are waiting for the complainants to register the case and start investigations. Meanwhile, a loud explosion was heard in Naseerabad, Gulberg, where unconfirmed reports claimed some men tried to attack a school van. SHO Chaudhry Shahid said it was most likely a firework explosion.
