Murder in detention: LHC seeks report of police brutality

LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Saturday took notice of a case of alleged police brutality. LHC directed the Gujranwala district and sessions judge to look into the matter and submit a report on the steps taken by the police in a week.


The notice was taken on a report that 24-year-old Sufiyan was detained by the police when an auto workshop owner accused him of stealing Rs10,000 and car spares. Later his body was taken to a morgue by the police.
