Collapse of buildings: 6 people killed, 60 others injured

Incidents take place in Peshawar and Mian Channu.

PESHAWAR/ MIAN CHANNU: Six people were killed and at least 60 others were reported to be injured in two separate incidents of collapse of buildings, Express News reported on Sunday.

An under-construction building in Peshawar has collapsed, killing one person and injuring 30 others. It was being constructed on Ring Road location.

According to Rescue 1122, the injured were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment.

In another incident, the roof of a madrassa located in Rehmat Colony in Mian Channu in Punjab collapsed. As a result, five people including a woman died and at least 30 others were injured. The injured have been taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

The roof of the madrassa collapsed when ceremony qul was being offered in connection with the death of a religious leader.
