Arshad pappu murder: Court orders to stop investigation officer’s salary

The officer, Yamin Gujjar, did not appear in court to adduce his evidence in the murder case.

KARACHI:


The Anti-Terrorism Court II issued a show-cause notice to the investigation officer in the Arshad Pappu murder case on Wednesday and directed the police high-ups not to pay the officer his salary till further order.


When the matter came up for hearing before the ATC-II, the officer, Yamin Gujjar, did not appear in court to adduce his evidence in the murder case. The court issued a show-cause notice to the officer and ordered him to explain his absence and for not complying with the court order at the next hearing.


Alleged Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu, his brother, Yasir Arafat, and their confidant, Juma Shera, were killed on the night of March 16, 2013. Earlier, an ATC court had declared the suspects, Uzair Jan Baloch, Habib Jan Baloch, Noor Muhammad, Asif Kana, Zahid Ladla, Faisal Pathan, Yasir Pathan, and Inspector Chand Khan Niazi proclaimed offenders.
