SUKKUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah claimed that important headway has been made into the cop killings in Karachi on Saturday. Shah felt that criminals are equipped with better arms and equipment, which are currently giving them an advantage. Talking at the Knowledge Centre inaugural ceremony at Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA) on Sunday evening, Shah said that law enforcers are lagging behind due to a shortage of sophisticated equipment. “We are trying hard to ensure that law enforcers are provided with cutting-edge equipment so that they can root out the crime from the metropolis,” he said. Shah then inaugurated the Knowledge Centre, which is to serve as IBA’s central library. He also distributed free bags and books among the winners of the Talent Hunt Programme. Appreciating the performance of Sukkur IBA, the CM announced a grant of Rs30 million for the institute.
