KARACHI: The election tribunal dismissed the election petition challenging results of the general election on NA-256 won by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Ali Muhammad Iqbal. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Muhammad Zubair Khan had challenged results of election, alleging his rival of managing victory through bogus voting. He had pleaded to order verification of the ballots polled at 67 polling stations in the constituency. Headed by the former SHC judge Zafar Ahmed Khan Sherwani, the tribunal announced its verdict on Saturday and dismissed the petition.
