Violence round-up: Police official, political activists among seven dead

A police inspector and two workers of political parties were among the seven people who lost their lives in separate acts of violence on Saturday.



A police inspector, ASI Sabir Ali, 43, was shot dead in Taiser Town. The deceased was shot at a barber shop near his residence. The ASI had been a part of the team of the slain CID officer SP Chaudhry Aslam Khan.


A Pakistan Peoples Party worker, Ayaz, son of Momin Ali and a 10-year-old boy, Ishaq, were shot dead in a firing incident near Sindhi Hotel. The deceased was the security guard of PPP District Central leader and had also worked as a security guard at the Bilawal House.


An employee of the Fire Brigade , 35-year-old Sabir Ali, also associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was killed near Sabri Chowk in Orangi Town.
