Hollow Promises: Sherpao says PTI let voters down
Malik Asghar announced the merger of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Mohmand Agency with Sherpao’s party.

Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf did not honour the pledges it made to the people before the May 11 elections. While speaking at a press conference at his residence in Hayatabad on Saturday, Sherpao expressed concern over the World Health Organization’s report which stated Peshawar is the world’s largest reservoir of the polio virus. On the occasion, Malik Asghar Khan, a social and political activist from Mohmand Agency, announced joining the QWP along with his friends and colleagues. Malik Asghar, who was previously associated with the PML-N, also announced the merger of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Mohmand Agency with Sherpao’s party.
