Tribal Clash: One killed, another injured in shootout

There is a continuing clash between two tribes in Spin Wam area of North Waziristan.

MIRANSHAH: A tribesman was killed while another was injured on Saturday during a continuing clash between two tribes in Spin Wam area of North Waziristan. According to an official of the political administration, the Shamiree and Spalai Barakhel tribes have an old dispute over the ownership of a mountain and both sides started fighting over it a day ago. The official said both sides used heavy weapons, including rocket launchers, adding the shootout on Saturday killed Sanaullah and injured Rehman. Tribesman Muhammad Din told journalists the conflict had created panic in the area and damaged several houses. He said some families have shifted to safer places to escape the conflict. He demanded the political administration intervene and form a jirga to resolve the conflict.
