‘Shootout’: Suspected robber killed
The SP said that during the exchange of fire one of the suspects died on the spot.
MURREE:
An alleged robber was killed and three others were arrested by the Murree police in Masyari, Murree on Monday. The deceased robber was identified as Muhammad Irfan and the arrested were identified as Zaheer Ahmed, Muhammad Navid and Ishtiaq. The police also claimed to have seized, 75 mobile phones, Rs96,000 and other valuable from them. According to SP Saddar Zone Arif Shahbaz the alleged robbers were looting passengers in Jhika Gali and Lower Topa, when they reached the spot, the suspects opened fire and challenged them. He said that the alleged robbers opened fire on the police, which was retaliated. The SP said that during the exchange of fire one of the suspects died on the spot.
