Anti-polio drive: PM focal person commends K-P govt
Says dealing with the security and programmatic challenges in K-P requires ownership and commitment at all levels.
Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication Ayesha Raza Farooq has commended the initiative taken by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government to take on the polio epidemic in the province under directives of Imran Khan. “Efforts being made by the KP Government are indeed commendable and we support improvisation and innovation by provinces in dealing with specific challenges they face,” she said in a statement. She added that dealing with the security and programmatic challenges in K-P requires ownership and commitment at all levels within the province especially when polio workers are risking their lives to help the children.
