Note on scroll: ‘Govt firm in promoting education’

President says government was firm in its policy of providing education to all.

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the government was firm in its policy of providing education to all and sundry in the country. He said this while signing the scroll of graduates of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PFID) in Islamabad on Friday. The president said that education was the engine of progress and, if all were given access to it, it can change Pakistan’s destiny. He said that the government was pursuing a policy to make education accessible and affordable to all. Hussain noted that the PIFD was contributing significantly towards promoting professional education in various disciplines. He said that it would help boost country’s economy. Acting Vice Chancellor PIFD Hina Tayyaba presented scrolls of the graduates to the president.
