Ransom and recovery: Police recover kidnapped farmer

MULTAN: The Lodhran district police recovered 17-year-old Ghulam Sajjad, a farmer, in a covert operation on Saturday. According to DPO Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta, Sajjad is a resident of 315-WB and was kidnapped by four men on December 25.

They demanded Rs4 million from his family for his release. Sajjad’s father said he was unable to pay the amount, and registered an FIR on December 27. Police said they had arrested two kidnappers, and are hoping to arrest the entire gang soon. Bhutta told The Express Tribune police teams have traced the group in adjoining districts.
