Pm’s initiatives: Improving relations to boost economy

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s goodwill gesture and initiatives to normalise relations with neighbouring countries, especially India, will have wider beneficial effects, which will lead to peace, political stability and economic boom in the entire Saarc region. Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Vikramjit Singh Sahney expressed these views while talking to Saarc CCI Vice President (Pakistan Chapter) Iftikhar Ali Malik by telephone on Wednesday. Sahney said enhanced trade ties would jack up exports among Saarc states in general and Pakistan and India in particular. He expressed his firm resolve to promote Nawaz’s vision at the Saarc CCI in an effort to expand the trade volume and develop the private sector of Saarc countries.
