Fahad, Harris to fight for snooker title

Fahad Khan and Haris Nadeem won their respective semi-finals to enter the final of the 7th Junior Sindh Cup Snooker Tournament 2013 to be played on Friday at the Aly’s snooker parlour.
After a gruelling 4-3 victory over Mohammad Adil in the quarterfinal, Fahad surpassed Shariq Alvi (4-3) in the semi-final of what was another thrilling contest for the cueists.
He won the battle with scores of 72-39, 41-63, 60-14, 35-69, 40-62, 57-46 and 58-47.
Meanwhile, Nadeem enjoyed a relatively comfortable run to the final, outclassing Usman Khan 4-1 with scores of 48-19, 53-14, 55-26, 02-65 and 61-38. Earlier, he blanked Haris Sumair 4-0 in the quarterfinal.
The quarterfinalists of the event have qualified for the National Junior Under-21 Snooker Championship to be played next month.
The ongoing tournament will be followed by men’s Sindh Cup which will start from December 23. The top six cueists of the Sindh Cup will be eligible to compete at the 2014 National Championship.
