Runners-up of the last World Cup Pakistan will take on the US on Tuesday in the semi-final of the 4th edition of the premier event being played in India.
The men in green were beaten in the final by arch-rivals India last time around in a one-sided clash, but are bidding again to win the world championship after storming into the last-four.
Such was the dominance of Pakistan in the group stages that along with reigning champions India, they are the only team to remain unbeaten in the competition so far.
They went onto win all five of their group matches in Group B which included Canada, England, Sierra Leone, Scotland and Denmark.
In their opening match, Pakistan defeated Scotland 63-26 while clear triumphs followed against Denmark (77-22), Sierra Leone (70-13), Canada (61-29) and England (69-28).
In all, Pakistan have scored 340 points in the event, which is so far the best points tally of any team. Second in terms of points scored are Canada, who have managed 248 points while India are third with 233 points.
The only other team to score over 200 points are minnows Sierra Leone, who have accumulated 205.
In terms of points scored against, Pakistan are in second place as they have only conceded 118 points. Currently the best defence record is of the US, who have conceded just 98 points but they have only played three matches so far.
In the other semi-final hosts India will face either Canada or England.
