Cross border shelling: Two houses partially damaged in Bajaur

Security forces on the border retaliated by firing rockets in the direction the shells were fired from.

Two houses were partially damaged in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur Agency when mortar shells fired by unidentified militants from Afghanistan landed on them on Friday. Umer Saeed, an official from the political administration, said multiple mortars were fired from across the border around 12:30pm in which two landed on the houses, partially destroying the structures. No casualties were reported. He added rest of the shells landed in Maro Zangal, Makha and Kaga areas. Security forces on the border retaliated by firing rockets in the direction the shells were fired from.
