Compulsive: Two sisters commit suicide ‘over a sweater’

Police said an investigation was underway.

GUJRANWALA: Two sisters committed suicide on Wednesday by swallowing poison. Police said the girls, 17 and 15, ate poison after their parents had scolded them for fighting over a sweater.

The girls were taken to Civil Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Police said an investigation was underway. In Daska, a man attempted suicide by taking poison. Police said the deceased, a resident of Jinnah Chowk, had been unemployed. Police said he had quarrelled with his family. He was taken to Civil Hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition.
