To seek protection for their rights, a large number of children gathered for a peaceful protest in front of Karachi Press Club on Wednesday.
The demonstration, themed ‘Save Lives - Stop Violence against Children’, was arranged by Konpal, Child Abuse Prevention Society to commemorate Universal Children’s Day. They demanded protective mechanisms against domestic and street violence besides child trafficking.
“The innocence and defenceless victims are not only physically affected but are mentally tortured too,” said Shahnaz Yaseen, a senior teacher and activist associated with Konpal.
