North waziristan: Security official injured in IED blast
The severely injured official was taken to Combined Military Hospital in Bannu.
MIRANSHAH:
One security official was injured when a bomb, planted by unidentified militants on Miranshah-Mir Ali Road, went off in Karam Kot, North Waziristan Agency on Sunday. An official of the security forces said a protection unit of the forces was patrolling the road to clear it of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) before a convoy was supposed to pass when the explosion occurred. The severely injured official was taken to Combined Military Hospital in Bannu. Other officers rushed to the site, backed by gunship helicopters, and launched a search operation in the area. However, no one was arrested.
