Karachi railways: New superintendent promises punctual trains

Announcement says Maqsoodun Nabi has taken over as the new divisional superintendent at Pakistan Railways, Karachi.

The new superintendent promises that his main focus is punctuality of trains, according to an announcement issued on Wednesday.


The announcement said that Maqsoodun Nabi has taken over as the new divisional superintendent at the Pakistan Railways, Karachi. “My main focus will be to make trains punctual and help passengers,” he said, adding that he had taken up assignment as a challenge for himself and issued directives to divisional managers to improve their managerial skills. The managers are hoping to achieve the desired targets, which include punctuality of trains, public facilitation and revenue generation.

Before the transfer, Nabi was working as the chief operating superintendent at the headquarters, the announcement further said. An official said he replaced Mahmood Lashari, who now has been posted as the director-general vigilance at the headquarters in Lahore. The announcement further said that Nabi brings with him rich experience in the field of railways operation.
