Bureaucracy: Addl chief secretary for energy dept
Wildlife and Forests Director General Zulfiqar Ghumman posted as personal staff officer to the chief minister.

The Punjab government has created a post of additional chief secretary of energy in grade BS-21, to streamline projects to produce energy from solar, coal, biogas, biomass and wind, The Express Tribune has learnt. The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) had announced the creation of this post. There is also an ACS to head midcareer civil bureaucracy in the province. Energy Secretary Usman Bajwa has been transferred and made an officer on special duty. While re-designating the post of energy secretary from BS-20 to ACS in BS-21, the S&GAD had assigned the additional charge to Health Secretary Jahanzaib Khan (BS-20) on Monday. Wildlife and Forests Director General Zulfiqar Ghumman has been transferred and posted as personal staff officer to the chief minister. Deputy Health Secretary Sarfaraz Ahmed has been transferred to the Planning and Development Board. There were previously 16 administrative slots for civil bureaucracy in BS-21 in the province. Of these, 12 are for the Pakistan Administrative Services (formally district management group), three for Provincial Civil Services and one for the Provincial Secretariat Services. With the new post, the PAS cadre has one more slot in the BS-21 scale.
