ISLAMABAD:

On a dark, stormy night with flashes of lightening cutting through the sky, Islooites enjoyed Hallow’s Eve on Wednesday at Fun City --- a recently launched indoor entertainment complex at Centaurus Mall.

Themed “Thriller in the city”, the event drew the old and young alike, many of them in costumes of witches, goblins, fairies, pirates and bandaged mummies.

The black-robed grim reaper danced to Micheal Jackson’s Thriller, attracting a large audience for his moves, although they were nowhere close to original moonwalk. Witches and zombies roamed the area on a hunt to trick or treat. There were best costume competitions, games and rides that kept visitors thrilled.

With cobwebs dangling from the ceiling and blingy accessories shining across the darkened space, the décor added to the spooky aura with tall magic mirrors for walls, figurines and sculptures setting a ghastly mood, complemented by the cacophony of squealing children, roaring dodge ‘em cards and the musical carousel.

Sitting in her young mother’s lap and intently playing a video game, six-year-old Sana was donning a black-and-gold witch costume. “I’m the evil wizard from Harry Potter,” she said, fixing her crooked black hat.

Adnan, 10, in Captain Jack Sparrow’s costume, said he was having fun being the world’s most popular pirate. His friend, Maaz, was dressed as the infamous joker from The Dark Knight.  The event was oragnised by Rezz PR and Events.
