Fatal accident: Kite string slits throat of minor boy

A four-year-old boy died after his throat was slit by a kite’s string near Gujjar nullah in Nazimabad.

KARACHI: A four-year-old boy died after his throat was slit by a kite’s string near Gujjar nullah in Nazimabad within the limits of Gulbahar police station on Wednesday evening. Azmar, son of Zameer, a resident of Liaquatabad No. 4, was riding a motorcycle with his brother and mother when the incident happened, said SHO Iqtidar Alam, adding that the boy was immediately taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities. The SHO said the father of the victim worked at a paan shop. The family was on their way to visit their relatives in Nazimabad. No case has been registered.
