Two more people die in Sindh of dengue

KARACHI: Two more persons have died in Sindh on Monday due to the dengue virus, taking the total death toll to 20 in the province so far this year.

Out of 20, 18 people lost the fight to the deadly fever in Karachi while two in Hyderabad.

According to the Sindh Dengue Surveillance report, the 19th death was reported from Karachi on Tuesday but was reported to the cell on Monday. A 67-year-old woman from Nazimabad died in a private hospital.

Provincial Focal Person Dr Shakeel Mullik confirmed The Express Tribune late Monday night that a 20-year-old female died in Hyderabad on Monday.

The total number of dengue patients is 3,426, including 2,984 in Karachi and 412 in Hyderabad.
