Finally free: Kidnapped worker released
Police claim that the kidnapped social worker was recovered after an encounter.
KHAIRPUR:
A kidnapped social worker, Qazi Shakeel Ahmed, was released by the kidnappers on Tuesday. Ahmed, who works for a local organisation was kidnapped by dacoits two weeks ago from the Luqman area of Khairpur. Some people claimed that he was released after the kidnappers were paid the ransom money but the police denied this, claiming that Ahmed was recovered following an encounter. However, the encounter did not result in any arrests or killings.
