Attempted abduction: Suspects remanded in infant’s kidnapping
The women were accused of kidnapping two-month-old Abbas at gunpoint after they barged into a house.
KARACHI:
A district and sessions court sent two women on a 14-day judicial remand on Tuesday, in a case pertaining to the kidnapping of an infant from Jahangir Road. A judicial magistrate in district east, Muqtadar Ali Khan, sent Nagina and Malika to jail till October 29. The women were accused of kidnapping two-month-old Abbas at gunpoint after they barged into a house, F-196, near Jahangir Road No.2 on October 14. The infant was rescued when residents intercepted the women. The police said that Nagina was a resident of New Lyari and Malika of UP Morr in North Karachi. A knife was seized from their possession. Police are searching for the weapon which the women threw before their arrest.
