KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company’s (KESC) spokesperson announced that there will no loadshedding during the three days of Eid, Express News reported on Tuesday.

The spokesperson also stated that the gas supply from Sui Southern Gas Company has improved.

The federal government had earlier also announced that there will be no load shedding during Eid.

KESC had previously blamed load shedding on national gas shortages but the Sui Southern Gas Company, which is 70% government-owned, had said that KESC owes it $500 million. KESC disputed the figure is that high and said it is offsetting the payment against outstanding bills from government entities that total $720 million.

KESC’s CEO Syed Nayyer Hussain had stated,“We’ve still got problems,”.
