
The city's commissioner wants to make sure there are no complaints from people about the arrangements for Eidul Azha.
As far as the authorities are concerned, there will be no negligence, commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui promised while chairing a meeting on Eid arrangements on Monday. Security, cleanliness, speedy supply of drinking water along with other basic facilities are to be provided during the three days of Eidul Azha, he announced. The commissioner was presiding over the meeting with deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners in the five districts of Karachi.
He directed all the officials to make sure that all necessary steps are taken on the eve of Eid. He stressed that all commissioner offices should be well connected with the municipal departments so that immediate lifting of offal and animal waste could be ensured across the city. The commissioner emphasised on spraying after Eidul Azha sacrifices.
Moreover, according to the news statement issued from the chief secretary office, the entry fee will be removed from all cattle markets in the city, as directed by the chief secretary Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry.
