KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court issued bailable warrants on Wednesday for the arrest of North Nazimabad police station SHO for failing to appear in court.

The SHO had defied the court's orders by not appearing before the court on September 26 and informing it about the location of a man missing since March 19. Justice Nadeem Akhtar, who headed the bench, ordered the area DSP to execute the warrants in the sum of Rs25,000 and produce the officer in court on October 24.

The mother of the missing man, Parveen Fatima, had sent an application to the SHC chief justice, requesting to order the police high-ups to produce her son. Her son, Muhammad Samar Abbas, was working as a recovery officer for Electro World at its Hyderi branch and was allegedly taken away on March 19.
