Pak-iran ties: Ambassador invites Khattak for a visit

Iranian Ambassador Alireza Haqhighian invited Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak for an official visit to Iran on Wednesday, according to a press release issued.
The invitation was extended at the CM Secretariat during a visit by Haqhighian, Iranian Counsel General Hassan Darwishwand and other Iranian authorities. The dignitaries extended assistance in various sectors including energy, mineral development, agriculture, education and health insurance. The Pakistan-Iran bond is underpinned by decades of historical, cultural, religious and trade ties, said Khattak at the meeting. He noted the two countries had helped each other during difficult times. Adviser to the CM Rafaqatullah Babar was also present at the exchange.
The CM constituted a committee headed by Babar to explore ways and means of mutual cooperation and expressed confidence the two countries relationship would strength with time. Haqhigian was apprised of steps taken by the provincial government to tackle issues faced by the social sector.
