Don’t miss this: What’s hot this week
A low-down on the hottest happenings of the week.
Weekend binge
You don’t have to think about your next trip to Dubai in order to satiate your double whopper cravings –Burger King has finally descended to Karachi! Head to the newly-opened Burger King outlet located at Boat Basin and get your hands on a whopper (make sure you don’t get trampled in the stampede). Happy eating!
Movies to watch
A good movie night with a box full of caramel popcorn is what makes for a perfect weekend. This week offers a great line up of both Hollywood and Bollywood movies. For those of you who religiously follow Formula 1, Chris Hemsworth has shown some real action in Rush. Ranbir Kapoor fanatics can finally catch him being Besharam in theatres. Apart from the obvious, Justin Timberlake’s Runner and Robert De Niro-starrer The Family are also playing.
Shop till you drop
With only 10 days left for Eid, designers are on a roll, offering a variety of pieces for you to flaunt. From clothes to accessories, everything is available for grabs at Labels, so keep up with your events calendar. First up is Farida Hasan’s eid exhibit on October 7 followed by an exclusive trunk show presenting bags from Fashion Compassion on October 9. However, if you are not really into shopping and love a good piece of art, don’t miss Colors of the Spiritual Journey — an art showcase by Khusro Subzwari. The opening reception will take place on Sunday October 6, between 5 pm to 8 pm at the art gallery in Sheraton, Karachi.
