Caught at last: DSP Aslam identifies suspect in court

Aslam identified a suspect in a case pertaining to an armed attack on his convoy which left two policemen dead.

KARACHI:
DSP Chaudhry Aslam, the in-charge of the Anti-Extremist Cell of the Crime Investigation Department, along with two other witnesses, on Thursday, identified a suspect in a case pertaining to an armed attack on his convoy which left two policemen dead and another injured in Gizri in 2006. Aslam and the two other witnesses identified the suspect, Muhammad Ijaz alias Gorchani, during the identification parade held before a judicial magistrate in district south, Hatim Aziz Solangi. Two police officials, ASI Arif and Head Constable Nadeem, were killed while another police constable, Khalid, was injured in the attack.
