ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has auctioned a site for establishing a temporary cattle market at Sector I-11 for Rs10 million. The same site was auctioned last year for Rs5.7 million, increasing the revenue by almost 100 per cent this year. Many interested firms took part in the open bidding where the highest bid received was for Rs10 million for running the 13-day cattle market ahead of Eidul Azha. “Though this year, the terms and conditions of the cattle market contract were strict with the extension of facilities at the site, the results are above our expectations,” CDA Director Municipal Administration Hamza Shafqat said.
