Bypassing The Law: ‘Robber’ killed by residents, guard

The police claimed the suspected robbers had recently been released from Haripur jail.

ATTOCK: An alleged robber was killed in Darus Salaam colony by a private security guard and residents on Friday. According to the police, three alleged robbers, Rashid, Anwar Shahzad and Shakil Ahmad were planning a robbery sitting in an empty plot when they were spotted by the guard and residents of the colony, who tried to capture the suspected burglars on their own. In the ensuing fight, a guard accidentally shot Rashid, a resident of Karachi, who succumbed to his injuries in the District Headquarters Hospital Attock. Moreover, Shahzad was handed over to the police while Ahmad escaped from the scene. The police claimed the suspected robbers had recently been released from Haripur jail.
