Accountability: Progress of terrorism cases reviewed

The performance of ATC judges was discussed in detail at the meeting.

LAHORE: Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik of the Lahore High Court, the anti-terrorism courts (ATC) administrative judge, on Saturday expressed dissatisfaction with the slow disposal of anti-terrorism cases, delay in completion of investigations and police’s failure to arrest proclaimed offenders. He was chairing a meeting to review the progress of anti-terrorism cases. The performance of ATC judges was discussed in detail at the meeting. Cases under investigation and status of the drive against proclaimed offenders were also reviewed. Inspection Team member Habibullah Amir, additional home secretary, Prosecutor General Abdul Qadir Qayyum, ATC judges of the provinces and DIG Operations Muhammad Tahir Rai and regional police officers attended the meeting.
