Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa has resigned from his post, Express News reported on Wednesday.
Former Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, who was the associate secretary, will take his place.
Pakistan had failed to qualify for the hockey World Cup this year for the first time in its history.
Bajwa said he believes that Rana Mujahid will take the Pakistani team to 'the next level' and hoped that they are able to meet the expectations of the media and the nation.
