Balochistan Unrest: Marble truck set on fire in Khuzdar

A body was recovered from Quetta in a separate incident.

QUETTA: A body was recovered from Quetta while a truck carrying marble was torched in Khuzdar, in two separate incidents on Tuesday. According to the police, a tip-off helped recover a body lying near a private hospital on Sariab Road in Quetta. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. The body has been shifted to the Civil Hospital. Initial investigations revealed that the man was shot dead at point blank range. Meanwhile, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire at a truck carrying marble in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district. The attackers later set the truck on fire and fled. Following the incident, transporters blocked the National Highway that connects Quetta and Karachi for an hour in protest against the incident.
