RAWALPINDI:

The facility of verifications of vehicle token tax and renewal of driving and arms licences has been withdrawn from the Pakistan Post after pension payments and savings banks.

Citizens have been unable to get tickets for driving licences for the last six months in Punjab.

The provincial governments of Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan gradually withdrew these services from the Pakistan Post after computerising the issuance and renewal of arms and driving licences.

However, the services continued in Punjab with the issuance of arms and driving license tickets to post offices at the beginning of this year. Taking advantage of the facility, holders of arms licenses from other provinces also got renewals with ease.
