BAHRAIN:
A man was killed and three others were injured when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire in Kulband area of Bahrain tehsil Monday night.

Bahrain police said assailants started shooting at a group of worshippers coming out of the mosque after offering Isha prayers. As a result, one person was killed and three others sustained injuries.

Locals claimed the incident occurred over a rift between two groups. “They (the two rival groups) have had a personal dispute for a long time. Last night, some people from one of the groups were waiting outside the mosque and opened fire as four members of the rival group came out,” said Khan Saeed, a lawyer by profession, on Tuesday.

The victims were members of a Tablighi group who stayed in the mosque to preach. Zuber Torwali, another social activist in Bahrain, expressed similar views of the two families trying to settle disputes in a violent manner.

The injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital, Madyan and their condition is said to be out of danger. Bahrain police launched a search operation after registering an FIR against
the culprits.
