ATTOCK: The country’s 67th Independence Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm in Attock on Wednesday. To mark the occasion, the national flag was hoisted by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed. The DCO Attock was also present at the ceremony along with students of various schools who sang national songs. Addressing the ceremony, the minister said that we must value the fact that Pakistan is a free country and thank God everyday for it. He said if we all start playing our respective roles, the country will be firmly on the road to prosperity. He said we must all work towards the national interest rather than our own interests and work as one country. The principal of Attock’s blind school Salma Khatoon also addressed the ceremony.
