Family disputes: Two commit suicide after uxoricide

The second incident was reported from Marghuz area on Tuesday.

SWABI: Two men committed suicide after reportedly killing their wives in separate incidents in Swabi.

Zaida police official Riaz Khan said the first incident occurred in Musa Bhanda area, on the outskirts of Zaida town, late Monday night. Haleem Dad told the police his brother Usman was arguing with his wife and consequently shot her with a pistol. Usman then proceeded to shoot himself in the head and died on the spot. The second incident was reported from Marghuz area on Tuesday.

Ghulam Rehman filed an FIR with the police stating his daughter and daughter-in-law were fighting with each other. Rehman added his son Rukhsar Ali told them to stop, but the women kept arguing. Infuriated, Ali shot his wife Fatima before turning the gun on himself.
