Tragedy on eid: 11 dead as ex-minister escapes assault
The firing was to target former minister Ali Madad Jattak, who escaped unhurt.

A tribal feud claimed 11 innocent lives and left 31 others injured when assailants opened indiscriminate fire on people coming out of a mosque after Eid prayers in a bid to target former minister Ali Madad Jattak, who escaped unhurt.
Four people died instantly in the firing at the main entrance of Farooqia Mosque.
Following the incident police and FC personnel launched a search operation and arrested eight persons allegedly involved in the attack.
In a separate incident, unidentified persons shot dead a policeman and injured a man on Sariab Road.
In the Machh area of Bolan district, security forces killed six militants on Saturday. According to security sources, a joint search operation with police was launched to arrest the culprits behind the massacre of 14 people four days ago.
Meanwhile two other militants were killed in a search operation in Ispilinji area of Mastung district.
According to the FC spokesman, unidentified persons had attacked the FC check post and fled. The FC carried out a search operation in Ispilinji area. As a result, two militants were killed.
In Quetta on Sunday, at least two security personnel were injured near FC check post in Jabale Noor area. According to the FC spokesman, a security convoy was hit by a roadside bomb that injured two FC men and partially damaged their vehicle.
